Narrabri Shire is the heart of Australia’s cotton industry – guided cotton tours are available. It is nestled between Mt Kaputar National Park and Pilliga National Park which offer scenic views, rock formations such as Sawn Rocks, bushwalking and bird watching.
Local attractions also include CSIRO radio telescopes, Australian Cotton Centre, Historic Goal and Museum, antiques and art, golf, lawn bowls, fishing, local wineries, olive plantations, fish aquafarming.
Narrabri offers an excellent selection of shops, galleries, cafes, restaurants, and a theatre complex offering conference/function facilities, movies and stage performances. Cotton tours can be booked through the Visitor Information Centre.
